The basic idea is first to create a Null Object to control the center of the flare.
Apply the "Lens Flare" and afterwards "Trapcode Shine" with the desired color. Pickwhip the Flare Center and the Source Point from Shine to the Null Objects Position. Then make a new shape Layer with selecting the Polystar, play with the settings and then duplicate it and set the Track Matte of the first to Alpha Matte on the second. If you move the matted shape around incl. changing the Polystar Points and the inner radius you get some interesting interferences. Also pickwhip its position to the Null Objects Position. But watch it... Effects & PluginsLens Flare, Trapcode Shine(Min. Version: After Effects CS3, Category: Lights, Type: Tips'n Tricks) | ||||||
